What is required of our volunteers?  

• Provide quality service to donors at all times

• Complete Lane Blood Center volunteer orientation and training

• Most volunteers schedule from 2 to 4 shifts per month with specific or flexible schedules

Volunteers can choose from a variety of ways to help promote, recruit and interact with  donors. Volunteers are currently needed for multiple positions including Mobile Drive, Community Outreach and Telephone positions.

Community Outreach Volunteers provide support at community events such as interacting with the public, advocacy and setup/teardown. Telephone Volunteers follow-up with donors to thank them for their life-saving donation and remind them of appointments. Mobile Drive Volunteers can earn appreciation gifts through donation referral cards and will be recognized for their efforts to increase mobile attendance.

What can you do to help?

Sheldon 4.26.13Immediate opportunities exist to support the Fern Ridge, Pleasant Hill, Oakridge and Springfield Communities. Ask about other mobile drives that need volunteer help with recruitment and hosting.
