Give a Pint. Get a Pint.

We thank Hop Valley Brewing Company for their generous sponsorship and encourage all our donors to visit them this holiday season.

The Third Annual Give a Pint, Get a Pint runs Dec. 2 through Jan. 14. All registering blood donors will receive a a free souvenir pint glass and a voucher to Hop Valley Brewing Company. Vouchers are redeemable at any Hop Valley Brewing Company location for either a pint of beer or a non-alcoholic beverage. You must be 21 or older to receive beer.

Join us Saturday, Dec. 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hop Valley Brewing’s Eugene location, 990 West First Ave. Register to donate and you’ll get the voucher for a free pint. While there, you can also take advantage of a Blood Drive Pint Special.

You could use your voucher to try Strong at Heart Stout, Hop Valley’s seasonal brew inspired by Lane Blood Center donors.

During the first two years of Give a Pint, Get a Pint,5,193 donors have participated, donating 4,459 units of blood. Because each donation can be separated and distributed to three different transfusion recipients, up to 13,377 lives and families have been affected by the gift of life-saving blood.

Lane Blood Center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 8 a.m. t0 3:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Call 541-484-9111 or visit to  schedule an appointment or find a mobile drive near you.

I like the Hop Valley partnership, it’s great beer and a really nice facility they have. Please keep me informed of future events there. I just donated last Friday at Willamette Street for my 63rd donation.
